Voices of Recovery: Community Mural Initiative
https://forms.gle/ixdFUta1b3YjGSZi8
The Recovery Resource Center is launching a community‑driven mural initiative made possible through the Maryland State Arts Council’s Public Art Across Maryland program. This project will create a large‑scale public mural that reflects the strength, resilience, and hope of individuals and families impacted by addiction on the Lower Shore.
We are inviting community members, people with lived experience, families, artists, youth, and partners to help shape the vision. Your stories, ideas, and perspectives will guide the themes, imagery, and messages represented in the final mural design. This is more than an art project — it is a collective statement that recovery is real, visible, and rooted in our community.
Over the coming weeks, we will gather input through listening sessions, surveys, and community conversations. Your voice will directly influence the concepts developed by our artist partner, WALS, during the planning and design phase.
Together, we can create a mural that honors recovery, reduces stigma, and brings beauty and connection to our shared public spaces.
