Hooray for ! 📡 Last year an adult male phalarope ( #63246) tagged by the Great Salt Lake Shorebirds Project made it all the way down to a station in Ecuador. He traveled approximately 4,130 km between August 11th and August 30th in 2025. Hopefully he comes back to visit us again this year! 🌎

Can you spot the Tawny Frogmouth in this photo? 🔍
Did you know Tawny Frogmouths stiffen when disturbed and close their eyes to resemble a tree branch? This behavior is called "stumping". Even when they are relaxed they can be pretty difficult to spot! Stop by our Owl Forest exhibits to visit our Tawny Frogmouth and see if you can spot him with your own eyes.
