The WHIT Program

Every year, kids in foster care face an uphill battle when it comes to school — inconsistent support, gaps in resources, and a system that too often overlooks what they need to succeed. The WHIT Program exists to change that, and on September 1st we’re bringing the community together for Brushes and Brains, an evening of trivia and live art to raise the funds that make our work possible.

Sponsoring this event means more than a logo on a flyer. It puts your name in front of a room full of engaged local supporters, ties your business to a cause San Angelo cares about, and — as a donation to a registered 501(c)(3) — may also be tax deductible.

Gold ($5,000): presenting sponsor status, a speaking moment at the event, a KLST mention, a featured social media post, multiple trivia categories, logo on the flyer and throughout the venue, and four tickets.

Silver ($2,500): logo on the flyer and throughout the venue, a social media feature, multiple trivia categories, and two tickets.

Bronze ($1,000): logo displayed throughout the event, a social media mention, one trivia category, and two tickets.

The numbers are sobering — but they don't have to be permanent. Foster kids in Texas face some of the steepest educational odds of any group. That's exactly why The WHIT Program exists. We match volunteer tutors with children in foster care to bring them up to grade level in math and reading — for free.
