This 4th of July weekend was epic at Cedars! 💥
Cedars was proud to be part of the Ross Parade, always a fun and celebratory experience for everyone! A group of residents walked with Cedars, spreading kindness by handing out stickers and smiles all along the route. After the parade came the annual 4th of July party at Ross Residences, complete with food, fun, games, and music!
This weekend was also the Marin County Fair groups of Cedars residents headed over to play games, eat delicious food, ride rides, pet animals, and soak up all the fun. On top of that, we had Summer Special Olympics swimming, a visit to Marin Art and Garden Center, some great hikes, and plenty of memorable meals out over the course of the weekend.

Debbie Wann's "Piece of Heaven" is the featured artwork for June in our 2026 Cedars and Marin Art & Garden Center calendar.
Debbie shows her sweet, gentle nature in her many portraits of animals and people. Working from photographs, she draws and paints with tender specificity and care. When she paints, she uses thickly applied wet paint, resulting in active, pulsing brushstrokes. These brushstrokes unify subject and background, creating harmonious and integrated paintings. Her colored pencil drawings evoke a quieter, lighter feeling. The color is delicate and the compositions tend to be open and spacious. Debbie is also a skilled fiber artist and jewelry maker.

Cody Rahn's "Macro Lily Pads" is the featured artwork for May in our 2026 Cedars and Marin Art & Garden Center calendar.
Cody enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere in the garden, and he was inspired to create this work after hearing the frogs on the lily pads!
An artist at Cedars Textile Arts Collaborative for seven years, Cody focuses mostly on the expressive use of colored pencil in working to create detailed and intimate small-scale drawings. In recent explorations with acrylic paint, Cody has developed exuberant, brightly colored paintings that utilize a loose brushstroke to achieve an almost abstract quality.
