From Trainee to Full Member

We are proud to recognize three teammates who were officially patched as full members of the San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team.

Earning a team patch is not something that happens overnight. Before becoming a full member, each individual must successfully complete our 10-month Mountaineering Academy, where they develop the technical skills and rescue fundamentals required to serve in the field. Each new member then enters a year-long probationary period, balancing training, team meetings, dry runs, callouts, area familiarization, and countless hours of continued learning. During that time, they are evaluated not only on technical competence, but also on teamwork and dedication to serving those in need.
