Thank you to Defense Advancement for highlighting ForgeFX’s work helping expand access to critical biological threat detection training for drone pilots.

We're honored to support this U.S. Army initiative to transition our fielded Unmanned Vehicle Tele-Operation Training Simulator into a secure, browser-based training application, making high-fidelity, repeatable CBRN readiness training more accessible to UAS pilots, sensor operators, and mission commanders.

This effort reflects the strength of collaboration across the defense innovation ecosystem. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside MRIGlobal, Teledyne FLIR, and the CPE for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CPE CBRND) to help deliver scalable simulation-based training for high-consequence missions.

Their coverage helps connect technical advances in simulation, detection, and readiness with the broader mission of protecting people from high-consequence threats.

This article highlights our work with MRIGlobal to expand access to a CBRN drone pilot training simulator through a secure, browser-based application delivered via JACKS (Joint Acquisition CBRN Knowledge System) for authorized CBRN personnel. The simulator trains UAS pilots, sensor operators, and mission commanders to remotely operate the Teledyne FLIR R80D Skyraider drone while detecting and collecting airborne biological contamination samples with the MUVE B330 sensor.

For the CBRNE community, this work addresses a critical training challenge: giving operators realistic, repeatable practice on specialized detection and reconnaissance systems without requiring constant access to physical equipment, dedicated workstations, or live-test environments.
