The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has proposed increasing the naturalization application fee (Form N-400) from:

💰 $760 (paper filing)

➡️ to $1,330

That's an increase of approximately 75%.

The proposal could also:

❌ Reduce fee reduction options for low-income applicants

❌ Make the naturalization process more expensive for thousands of lawful permanent residents
