Our Story

Nestled between Austin and San Antonio in the Texas Hill country, San Marcos is a little slice of paradise. With a river that's 12,000 years old and 72 degrees year around, it is the perfect playground from what naturally resulted as SMFEST. In 2016, San Marcos united to create the very first ever SMFEST- a festival without limits, made by locals, for everyone. With a spirit of celebration, unity, and an "anything is possible" team of leaders, SMFEST, now in it’s fifth year, continues to grow organically from a community first mindset.
