It's time to 'move on'

OPPOSITION members of Parliament have been told to forget about their former leaders who abandoned them, jump on the Coalition Government bandwagon and make Parliament workable for the benefit of the country.

Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad told the MPs it was time to “move on”.

Prof Prasad made the comments as he told Parliament the former administration had used the Immigration Department to “punish people they did not like”.

“We as a government are going to be different,” he said.

“Our honourable Prime Minister has pointed that out that we are going to provide inclusive, consultative and leadership with humility.”

He said the PM wanted the Opposition to be involved in his leadership of taking Fiji on the international stage and getting all the benefits it could get through that process of dialogue and consultation.
