Some of you may be aware that I am the Scholarship Fund Chairperson for AAUW (American Association of University Women) Marin. Our annual silent auction which benefits our scholarship program is now open to all local Bay Area participants. Each year, with the proceeds we receive from your generous donations, we fund 3 scholarships for non-traditional students at Dominican University, 6 Scholarships to College of Marin students, and we send a representative to NCCWSL (National Conference for College Women Student Leaders). In addition, we also send several 7th grade girls to a week long Tech Trek camp where the girls are exposed to science, technology, engineering and math exercises. They conduct experiments and have an opportunity to interact with professionals working in STEM careers. Congratulations to the 2023 Berkshire Hathaway Home Services/Drysdale Properties Community Foundation Award Winner, Homeward Bound! This organization is noteworthy in assisting those in need of housing and housing assistance in Marin and is a very worthy recipient. Each agent at BHHS contributes to the Community Foundation with each sale or purchase completed. Our agents love their communities and it shows!

Drysdale Community Foundation is funded by donations from individual agents with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties. This past year, $68,800 in grants were awarded to 16 non-profit charities.
One of the 16 non-profits that received a grant this year was Homeward Bound of Marin, nominated by Gloria Walli out of our Novato, CA office. Homeward Bound of Marin is the primary provider of Marin County homeless shelters and services for homeless families and individuals in Marin, California. They serve approximately 1,000 people per year in 18 inter-related residential programs.
