In preparation for their class play, "Noah, the Animals, and the Ark," 3rd graders rehearsed, tried on costumes, and even helped build the sets—including a real wooden boat! Here are some pictures of the students with their teacher, Ms. Terziev, working together to carry the wood that will make their ark. (Yesterday we also shared their promotional posters, which they've hung around school to invite other classes to their play.)

This week, the 3rd grade will perform Noah, the Animals, and the Ark—their first class play that will be staged in the Great Hall, but not their first play! At Marin Waldorf School, students in Grades 1-8 rehearse and perform a class play every year, an experience that bolsters skills like memorization, acting, and musical performance—and, perhaps most importantly, teamwork. Everyone chips and works together to make the play the best it can be. Students even create the beautiful publicity posters (pictured here) to hang around campus.
