Within 10 mins of our waking safari, we happened along this beauty. The dust is sunscreen, much like when they roll in the mud. Another was down the creek, and a mama with her baby were a few bushes from us 😮 We stayed a couple minutes- silently watching and then snuck away. Exhilarating! ⁣

We lucked out when an Anna’s Hummingbird bird built her 🪺nest on our porch. We had to vacate for a couple months- once both fledged we were back drinking our coffee on the⁣

Anna’s Hummingbirds feed their chicks a “smoothie” of nectar and insects 😋 Puts it right into their stomach. ⁣
