The difference between cold process soap and what you’re probably using right now is the glycerin. Commercial bars strip it out and sell it back to you in your moisturizer. We just left it in.

Not all soap bars are made the same and neither are the ingredients behind them. Commercial bars are typically made with sodium palmate and synthetic hardeners that cleanse effectively but can leave skin feeling tight and stripped over time. Cold process soap is made the old way with real oils that go through saponification to create a bar that cleanses and conditions at the same time. Both work. One just works differently for your skin. 🫧
