After a few friends sent me the crochet Christmas ball ornament from Simply Made By Erin I decided to give it a go. I used the 2.5” glass ball with a single strand and 3” glass ball with a double strand of Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth Sparkle. I love the way these turned out and want to make more with different yarns.

When my daughter asked me to make a blanket yarn stress ball I had no idea that they would be so popular with the girls and their friends. Everyday they’d ask for this color for this friend or that friend. I’ve since given them to parents at coffees, PTA meetings and just anyone nearby when I had them. I think the girls and I have given away close to 50 so far. They are so fun to make and relaxing as a fidget. Crochet is a great stress reliever.

How pretty is this yarn? I made a dragon scale fingerless glove (the other is on the hook) and love it!
