Another inspiring Tuesday at Danville San Ramon Rotary! πŸ’™πŸ’›

This week we celebrated the impact of service, generosity, and community.

✨ We kicked off planning for the 2026 Auction for Education
πŸŽ“ Recognized scholarship recipient Elisabeth Lee and her incredible achievements
πŸ“± Learned about new updates to the Ignite Member App
🌍 Highlighted the many ways our members are making a difference locally and around the world
🀝 Heard from a special guest from Tri-Valley Haven, one of our grant recipients, and learned more about the organization's vital work serving adults and children in the Tri-Valley area who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or homelessness. Their compassionate support and resources make a meaningful difference for so many individuals and families in our community.

A special thank you to Foundation Chair Karen McNamara for sharing the Danville San Ramon Rotary Foundation Annual Report and showcasing how member support helps fund scholarships, grants, service projects, and initiatives that create lasting impact both locally and internationally.

And with the raffle jackpot climbing above $1,600 and only three marbles remaining, there was plenty of excitement in the room! 🎱 Congratulations to Leslie Stellar, this week's lucky winner! πŸŽ‰

πŸŽ₯ Danville San Ramon Rotary Member Spotlight: Claes Elfving

Retirement means different things to different people.

For Claes, it became an opportunity to get more involved, give back, and discover a new sense of purpose through Rotary.

In this spotlight, he shares what first drew him in, the experience that hooked him, and how Rotary changed the way he thinks about leadership and service.

And there’s one story in here that reminds us how even small acts of service can make a lasting impact.

Take a few minutes and watch.

Another inspiring Tuesday at Danville San Ramon Rotary! 🌟

This week's meeting featured meaningful updates, recognition, and an incredible program focused on innovation and hope.

We heard from Gopal Kapur, who shared an update on the Light1Candle project supporting students in India and received the club's international grant support. We also celebrated our recent Art & Wind Festival success and recognized several members with Paul Harris Awards.

Our featured speaker, Marguerite Casillas of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), provided a fascinating look at how stem cell, cell, and gene therapy research is advancing across California. As someone living with multiple sclerosis, Marguerite brought both professional expertise and personal perspective to the conversation, sharing how research and clinical trials are creating new possibilities for patients and families.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another engaging and impactful meeting. Rotary is where service, leadership, and community come together. πŸ’™πŸ’›
