According to McKinsey, four kinds of behaviors account for 89 percent of leadership effectiveness: problem-solving, results focus, perspective diversity, and support. Always remember that the key to influencing behavior is to focus more on what happens after the behavior (the consequence ) than what happens before the behavior (antecedent). Training and education are good; however, consistently reinforcing the right behaviors is where you spend 80 percent of your time. If you agree with the McKinsey article, think about how you might reward these behaviors.
