Sandpoint Parks and Recreation

The City's parks staff, members of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and a design team from HMH Engineering and MTLA (landscape architecture firm) have been hard at work developing site concepts for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation grant-funded improvements to the City Beach RV Park and parking lot.

To chat with the design team and City staff in person about the project, drop by our booth at the Sandpoint Farmers Market from 9am - 11am on Saturday, June 27th, or stop by Sandpoint City Hall at 1123 Lake Street Monday - Thursday to check out full-size printouts of the concepts in the lobby area.

Staff will be taking community feedback to City Council at the July 1st meeting to ask them to provide direction for which concept to advance towards construction-ready design. Phase 1 of the project (RV Park renovation) will be under construction by fall of this year, with phase 2 (City Beach parking lot) planned for fall of 2027.
