🚛 Get Ready for International Roadcheck 2026!

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has announced May 12-14 as the dates for this year’s high-visibility, high-volume inspection and enforcement event.

This 72-hour initiative will involve enforcement personnel across North America inspecting commercial motor vehicles and drivers for compliance with vehicle, cargo, and driver regulatory requirements.

This year’s International Roadcheck will focus on ELD tampering, falsification or manipulation, and cargo securement.

🔍 Inspectors will check:
• Driver qualifications and license status
• Record of duty status and ELD entries
• Medical examiner’s certificate and seat belt usage
• Cargo securement and load stability
• Brake systems, tires, lighting, steering, suspension, coupling devices, and other key vehicle components

Proper documentation, accurate records of duty status, and secure cargo are critical for compliance, operational efficiency, and roadway safety. Inaccurate or manipulated ELD records can lead to serious violations, while improper cargo securement can create hazards for drivers and other motorists.

These inspections may affect freight capacity and timing. We encourage our partners and carriers to plan ahead, review documentation, inspect equipment, and address potential issues before the inspection period begins.

While International Roadcheck may cause temporary service disruptions, it plays an important role in improving roadway safety, strengthening compliance, and upholding industry standards across North America.
