This study will look at an investigational medication to see how safe it is and whether it works for the treatment of moderate to severe Crohn’s disease (CD). Patients who complete the study can continue into a longterm extension study. About 265 patients are expected to take part in the study.
Why is this study important?
CD is a condition that causes inflammation in the digestive tract. There are multiple treatments available for people with CD. However, for some people, these treatments do not work, only partly work, stop working over time, or are not tolerated. Therefore, there is a need for alternative treatment options.
