If your injuries are covered by your own private insurance company, don't be surprised if they try to recoup all or some of their losses by going after your lawsuit recovery. It's a normal part of the process, so be sure you're ready for it.

Just because something is pretty doesn't mean it isn't dangerous. Many states have what's called the "attractive nuisance doctrine" which holds that the landowner could be held liable for injuries to children trespassing on their property if the injury is caused by an object that is likely to attract children. A good example of this is a construction site where kids are likely to try and sneak onto the property to play.
