This hickory table top is a stunner.

I made a similar table top last year, but made some mistakes in the finishing process.

Solution: Remake the table and exchange it for the old one so the customer doesn't have to go without.

Do I still get an immense sense of satisfaction at a job well done if it's the second time doing it? Absolutely, because I'm better at my craft because of it. Will I make the same mistake twice? Definitely not.

Hard Maple entry way bench requested from wifey. Lacquer finish, steel wool and paste wax polish.

All 4 boards started rough, cupped, twisted, and bent. Each one took a lot of work to transform them into straight, square, beautiful pieces that fit together to make something beautiful and useful.

As today is Sunday, how can faith help us transform from a rough crooked soul, to something more beautiful?

Wife just asked me to make an entry way table, I said "sure" and walked out to the garage and started making this small Walnut bowl... Wife comes out and asked "is that for the entry way table?"...
