My fun project from last week. Our AMYS Team Dad™ converted this steel drum into a much noisier drum for fun at tournaments. It made its debut on Saturday at the Utah State Taekwondo Championship.

I have mad respect for artists who can wield a can of spray paint like a paintbrush. I am not one of those artists. I relied heavily on handmade stencils, masking, tape, Posca markers, and a paintbrush. Many thanks to my husband for doing the prep and my friend Amy for the vinyl decals that finished it.

It also helps that our studio won the honor of being top school in Utah for the 14th year. I won gold in black belt poomsae and my son one gold in junior black belt sparring after a four-year break from TKD. All in all, it was an awesome day.

Useful stocking stuffers for moms that aren't skincare, jewelry, perfume, candles, or tchotchkes. Nothing wrong with those as gifts, but sometimes we want something a little more useful.
