Greetings, F/friends! Greg Stefanski just celebrated his 1-year QVS-iversary!! In the last 12 months, Greg has been on the move! This post celebrates his year with QVS as well as catches you up on a trip that he took in May to DC, Baltimore, and Pennsylvania as well as his participation at SAYMA.
On May 24, Greg joined Tommy Wrenn for worship at Friends Meeting of Washington. While in DC, he also connected with Alicia McBride and Bridget Moix at Friends Committee on National Legislation.
Next stop was a visit to Baltimore. On May 29, Greg met with QVS Alum, Jossie Dowling (PHL 2013) for a presentation by Ross Brubeck at Homewood Friends about his peace walk. On May 31, Greg worshipped at Stony Run Friends Meeting and joined them for a BBQ social.
During the trip, Greg was able to join JoAnn Seaver at the wedding of QVS alum, Maddie Dahlin (PHL 2020) in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. Maddie and her husband, Nick, were joined by a crew of QVS alumni from the PHL house.
Greg recently connected with Friends in the South at the Southern Appalachian Yearly Meeting & Association Sessions on the campus of Berea College in Kentucky. Greg got some help from Linnea Halsten (ATL alum from 2020) with sharing an update about QVS. Linnea now works for Friends Committee on National Legislation. Linnea and Greg also spent time connecting with Megan Fair from Right Sharing of World Resources to explore ideas for some Quaker collaborating.
We can't wait to see those of you who are coming to Burlington, Vermont for the Friends General Conference Gathering in July!
