Another recent generator service call is a great reminder of why routine maintenance matters.

When our technician arrived, the generator had trouble starting. After a quick inspection, we found heavily corroded battery terminals and deteriorated battery cables. Over time, corrosion can build up and restrict proper electrical connection, leading to weak starts, intermittent operation, or complete failure when the system is needed most.

In this case, the issue wasn’t a major component failure — it was preventable wear and lack of maintenance.

After cleaning the terminals and replacing the damaged cables, the generator started and ran as expected again.
