🚨 If you are evacuating due to the or , TAKE YOUR PETS WITH YOU. 🚨
Do not wait until conditions worsen or evacuation orders become mandatory. Fires can spread quickly, roads can close, and emergency responders may not be able to return for animals left behind.
🐾 Your pets depend on you to keep them safe.
If you need to leave: βœ… Bring your pets indoors now so they can be quickly loaded into carriers or vehicles. βœ… Take food, water, medications, vaccination records, and identification. βœ… Bring crates, carriers, leashes, collars, bedding, and any supplies needed to keep your pets safe and comfortable. βœ… Make sure collars and ID tags are current, and verify your pet's microchip information is up to date. βœ… If you have horses or livestock, begin evacuation preparations immediately and move animals early whenever possible.
⚠️ Never leave pets behind during an evacuation. They cannot protect themselves from fast-moving fire, smoke, extreme heat, or changing conditions. Waiting until the last minute can put both animals and people at greater risk.
If you're away from home, contact a trusted neighbor or friend who can help evacuate your animals.
The safest choice is to leave early and take your pets with you.
