SBC is a Church dedicated to Sharing Christ. Building Believers. Caring for all.
We don't have to be perfect, but we must press toward the mark. 🎯
This Father's Day, let's remember our calling as fathers and leaders. It's about being a provider, a protector, and a praiser—showing our families what it looks like to live for something greater than ourselves.

What is Juneteenth, and why do we celebrate it as a church family? 🌍✨
On June 19, 1865—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation—major general Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, with the news that the enslaved were finally free. Juneteenth marks this monumental day of liberation, reminding us of the enduring journey toward true freedom and equality.
As believers, our joy on Juneteenth runs deep because freedom is at the very heart of the Gospel.
From Genesis to Revelation, we see a God who loathes oppression and champions justice. In Luke 4:18, Jesus announces His mission: "He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free." When we celebrate the breaking of physical chains, we honor the image of God (Imago Dei) in every human being and reflect His heart for justice and restoration.
Today, SBC Family pauses to remember, celebrate, and look forward with hope. We celebrate by listening to the stories of our brothers and sisters, learning from history, and continuing the beautiful, kingdom-work of unity and reconciliation.

"Who am I that you would send me?" 🎓✨
As our graduates step into their next chapters, it’s easy to feel the weight of insecurity or wonder if we have what it takes. But this past Graduation Sunday, Pastor Pitts reminded us of a powerful truth from Exodus: God isn't looking at your qualifications, your talent, or your education. He is looking for your availability.
When God calls you, He doesn't leave you to figure it out alone. You don't just have a calling—you have a Companion. Those He calls, He equips!
Drop a 🙌 if you're stepping out in faith and availability this week!

Ever had a question for God that you were too afraid to ask out loud?
Life gets heavy, and standard, easy answers don't always cut it. This Sunday, we are launching a brand-new sermon series called A.S.K. GOD.
We’re diving deep into the real, raw, and unfiltered questions that God's followers asked Him during their darkest and most difficult times. If you’ve ever wrestled with doubt, wondered "why?", or struggled to find peace, you are not alone—and your questions are welcome here.
As Jesus reminds us in Matthew 7:7:
Ask, and it will be given to you;
Seek, and you will find;
Knock, and the door will be opened to you.
God isn't intimidated by your honesty. Join us this Sunday as we learn what it means to actively pursue Him with our whole hearts, doubts and all.
