Our Story
Đoàn St. Barbara is just one Chapter of Thieu Nhi Thánh Thể Việtnam tại Hoa Kỳ, also known as the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement. Located near the heart of Little Saigon in Southern California, St. Barbara is a part of Mien Tây Nam, Liên Đoàn Nguon Song, and is one of the oldest and largest chapters of TNTT in the United States.
Thieu Nhi St. Barbara meets every Saturday during the school year from 2:30pm - 3:45pm, with yearly registration starting in September. The yearly curriculum focuses on subjects such as Bible, Eucharist, Catechism, Teachings of the Church, as well as Specialty Skills such as Morse, Semaphore, Knots, Formations, Songs, and Leadership Training. Yearly activities include games, camping trips, field trips, training environments, skits, shows, fundraising, and volunteer projects.
The organization currently has over 500 registered youth members ages seven to eighteen, 60 youth leaders, and 10 chaplain assistants.
