The first shows East Beach after a year without dredging, while the second—taken just yesterday—reveals the dramatic transformation after 185,000 cubic yards of sand were moved from the harbor to East Beach. Thanks to the Army Corps of Engineers and Pacific Dredge, our shoreline is nourished and our harbor entrance is wide and clear. Routine dredging not only protects navigation but also enhances our coast for everyone to enjoy.
