The Emotional Layers of Dementia Take Center Stage in ‘The Father’ This intense and gripping play is in Downtown Santa Barbara at Paseo Nuevo’s Center Stage Theater September 13-21.

PAUL CANTER plays PIERRE in the upcoming production of The Father. Paul was most recently seen in UCSB Launch Pad’s professional premiere of Everybody’s Favorite Mothers, originating the dual roles of Jules Manford and Mrs. Cratchit. He also originated the role of Charlie last year in the new play George and Emily Get Married (Theatre Group at SBCC). Other productions include Lobby Hero (Ensemble Theatre; Independent Award), How to Transcend a Happy Marriage (The Producing Unit), Beau Jest (Actor Circle), Dinner With Friends (Alcazar Theatre), The End of Lorraine (NYC), and many with Theatre Group at SBCC, including Something Rotten, One Man Two Guvnors, and Rabbit Hole. Paul studied acting at Cal Arts, and Meisner technique with John Parkinson. He plays music with his old timey band The Rusty Mucket Boys, and is a founding member of Actor Circle.
