Just wanted to share fun pic of tonight's APIA Fall 2023 Potluck Social. Thanks to everyone who attended and special shout out once again to Maka and Cheryl Takahara for graciously opening their house to our community. To new and old UCSB colleagues...here's to great company and delicious Asian food!

Wanted to send a special THANK YOU to Joe Sabado for hosting a ProD session for our API community during the lunch hour about Change Management using ProSci method. It was a very informative session and great discussion about how to be more effective as change makers/recipients.

A Call to Santa Barbara Area Asian Communities: A Vigil to Join in Solidarity Against Hate

Please join us and bring your family members across generations to the ๐Ÿ“ corner of State and Anapamu Streets, downtown Santa Barbara, on ๐Ÿ“… Saturday, March 27, at 1 - 3 pm.

We will have signs or you can make and bring your own. Please keep your messages positive. ๐Ÿ“ฃ

We wish to raise awareness of our largely invisible Asian diaspora right here in Santa Barbara. We will welcome the presence of any allies who wish to stand behind us and show their support as well.

๐ŸคPlease wear white, the color of mourning in many Asian cultures.

We come to you as members of the multi-national Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander community here in Santa Barbara to ask your presence at a vigil to honor and remember those who were killed in Atlanta, as well as recognizing over 3800 acts of anti-Asian violence across our country in the past year.

We hope that this will provide the momentum for our diverse communities to reach out and form a coalition network and support each other in the face of so much violence.

Coronavirus safety guidelines: Please wear masks and safely distance yourselves at the vigil.
