Happy Belated Father's Day! We're celebrating the fathers of our Scholars. 👨‍👧

Across Haiti, South Sudan, Malawi, Kenya and Uganda, they are doing something radical: believing in their daughters.

In communities where girls are often valued less than boys, where the education of a son is prioritized and a daughter's worth is too often measured by the dowry she'll bring, these dads are choosing differently.

They are supporting the potential of their daughters and this how culture shifts happen. One father supporting one daughter at a time.

To the fathers of our Scholars: we're grateful for you, and we know the impact your support has on your daughters.💛

Today is International Day of Women in Diplomacy. It reminds us that the women shaping peace, policy, and global cooperation today were once girls who needed someone to believe they belonged in the room. 🌍

That's the work we're doing now by providing MBB Scholars with the essential tool needed to uplift themselves – education.

Tomorrow’s next great mediator, negotiator, or change maker might be sitting in a classroom in Haiti or East Africa today.

Did you know play is actually a fundamental human right? In 2024, the UN General Assembly — supported by 140 member states — officially declared June 11 the International Day of Play, recognizing that play is essential to every child's physical, emotional, and social development.

For children in places like Haiti, South Sudan, and Malawi, access to safe, joyful play is often the first thing lost in a crisis. 🌍

MBB recognizes the importance of play being incorporated into the education mainframe. Play promotes things like cooperation, creativity and bonding – all of which are essential to cultivating and nurturing the whole child.
