Ripple Effect Arts Festival Transforms Santa Cruz The Ripple Effect Arts Festival brings music, art, dance and performance across Santa Cruz, showcasing the city as a vibrant cultural destination.
Have you seen the new public art installation in front of the gallery? 🔨 Part of our latest exhibition, ART & CHANGE, “Migration” expresses the home uprooted, precarious and on the move. The tall wooden houses’ dimensions recall the shape of animals, stilt-legged, both vulnerable and proud. Where are they from, where are they going, is their exodus performed willingly or forcibly? They ask us to consider who we are when we are not our possessions or identified by place. 🧐
🔨 Designed by artist Todd Laby, MIGRATION is constructed of wood, metal and rock. Todd has a degree in Industrial Design, Furniture and Sculpture form California College of the Arts. He often partners with performance groups and immersive exhibitions, where his multidisciplinary inclinations can be fully realized.
◼️ ART & CHANGE is on view through May 17. In partnership with the Ripple Effect Arts Festival, there will be events throughout the exhibit including Tannery Night on Thursday April 23 from 4-8pm and concerts with Indexical and Genoa Brown. 🎶
Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00-5:00pm.

ART & CHANGE - Our latest exhibit explores seven creative viewpoints of our shifting climate. ⚡️ Visit us this week and engage with this thought provoking exhibit that challenges us to create change.⚡️
Curated in collaboration with Audrey Heller, Art & Change features artists Susan Kathleen Doyle, Audrey Heller, Peter Hiers, Josie Iselin, Todd Laby, Sarah M. Newton and Lorraine Woodruff-Long.
On view April 1 - May 17, 2026 with an Artist Talk Sunday May 17 at 3:00pm.
In partnership with Ripple Effect, there will be events throughout the exhibit including Tannery Night and concerts with Indexical and Genoa Brown.
Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00-5:00pm.
