“✨ We did it!!! ✨To all the volunteers that made the Sustain Supper possible, from the bottom of my heart, thank you 🙏🏽

We had over 100 volunteers, all of whom are some of the most special people I’ve had the chance to work alongside. From our incredible server team, to our dishwashers, kitchen preppers, set up crew, and so many more, thank you for showing how beautiful it can be when community comes together.

If you are a volunteer or supporter, know that you were a direct contributor to all the money raised, which will go towards supporting our trainees rebuilding their lives! It is a privilege and a blessing to work with you and I hope to see you all again in the future ❤️”

Looking for something fun to do next Friday evening?

Join us at the Homeless Garden Project Store on Friday, July 3rd, starting at 6:00 PM for an evening of local flavors, community, and great conversation.

We’ll be joined by some of our wonderful local consignors, including California Jam Queen, Rivas Honey, and other local favorites, who will be sharing samples of their most popular products. We’ll also have a selection of Homeless Garden Project favorites available for tasting, all handcrafted in our Santa Cruz workshop.

Whether you’re discovering a new favorite or stopping by to say hello, we’d love to see you. Bring a friend, sample something delicious, and celebrate the incredible makers who help make our store so special.

“It’s a beautiful world. We need to do everything we can to make it more beautiful for everyone around us.” - Oliver Tree

We are extremely sad to hear about the passing of Santa Cruzian, Oliver Tree Nickell. Oliver was not only a creative musician and artist, but someone with a passion for learning about people and their experiences. He cared for not only his immediate community, but for the world.

We are so grateful that he chose to support us at his benefit concert at the Rio Theater in 2021. He saw the unhoused community growing in his hometown and decided to do what he could to combat it.

The world should listen to Oliver’s words and be inspired by his passion for life and humanity.
Our hearts are with the Nickell family.
May Oliver rest in peace
