Author Jenny Lacika was recently in the recording studio here at the State Library recording her newly released children's book, "Talking Books: Audiobook Inventor Dr. Robert B. Irwin and a New Way to Read" for the Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. This is extra exciting because her book is about the innovator Dr. Robert B. Irwin, who invented the audiobook!
"Talking Books" will be added to the National Library Service’s collection, reaching more people with visual impairments.
Lacika is a children’s writer from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her books include "Again, Essie?", "Beto's Berry Treasure," "Cesar's Cerulean Surprise," and "Measuring Up: How Oliver Smoot Became a Standard Unit of Measurement." Learn more about the author at https://jennylacika.com/home/
