In Case You Missed It - We're honored to see Dovetail's Accessible Trail featured in New Mexico Magazine Today! 💚
This trail was created so that more people can experience the beauty, peace, and healing power of nature. Designed with accessibility in mind, it welcomes people of all abilities to explore the stunning Galisteo Basin and connect with the land. The half-mile accessible loop is the gateway to nearly five miles of trails at Dovetail, helping make the outdoors more inclusive for everyone.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this vision a reality - from our partners and supporters to the volunteers and community who believe that nature belongs to everyone.

🎆 Nature's Fireworks 🌸
Long after the booming fireworks have faded, the blooming allium shown here reminds us nature has been putting on its own spectacular show all summer long!
A recent drive down Galisteo Street had us marveling at the incredible blooms lining the road. We spotted red hot pokers, Russian sage, hollyhocks, trumpet vine, roses of every color, California poppies, butterfly bushes, yellow yarrow, dark purple penstemon, day lilies, echinacea, daisies...and plenty we couldn't name!
🌼 Which flowers have you noticed blooming around Santa Fe? Tell us your favorites in the comments!

🚶♀️🌿 Step into better health with ¡Vámonos Walks!
Regular exercise is one of the best things you can do for your health—and walking is a simple, powerful place to start. It can help manage weight, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, strengthen bones and muscles, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and type II diabetes.
Even better? Spending time outdoors in nature can boost your immune system, improve your mood, and lower stress. Just getting out for a walk—even starting small and building up to 30–60 minutes a few times a week—can make a real difference in how you feel.
What is the Santa Fe Walking Collaborative?
Since 2017, the Santa Fe Walking Collaborative has brought together community partners to support public health, connect people to parks and trails, and make outdoor activity accessible for all. Through a series of walks across the city, we create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get moving and connect with community.
Led by Santa Fe Conservation Trust, alongside partners including the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe County, NM Department of Health, New Vistas, NM Aging Services, AmeriCorps Santa Fe RSVP, and La Familia Medical Center.
Come walk with us and be part of a healthier, more connected community!
