🌟 It’s Giving Tuesday! 🌟
Today, we’re asking northern New Mexico to stand with us. So, grab a rope and pull!
Every mission, every training, every hour spent searching for someone’s loved one is powered by volunteers—and by you. Your support helps us stay equipped, trained, and ready to respond when the call comes, day or night, 24/7/365.
If our work has touched you, inspired you, or reminded you of the basic beauty of humans helping humans, we invite you to give what you can today. ❤️

The other day we had a training introducing our team members to some of our new communication equipment. We now have a 50ft mast for our radio antenna along with a portable starlink kit. Great stuff for New Mexico, where communication can sometimes be hindered by the terrain.

Let us introduce you to another valued member of our team, Aimee!
"Hello, my name is Aimee, and I joined ASAR in 2007 mainly to meet new people, but I was also genuinely curious about SAR. Like many others, I've spent most of my life outdoors, fishing long days under the sizzling sun, camping, and hiking until exhaustion. Why not learn how to be safer out there? It's a great feeling to give back to the community and to help people in need. Almost 18 years later, I realize how much knowledge I've gained, the satisfaction of rescue, and the various incredibly cool skills I've learned. But it goes beyond that for me. My teammates over the years have been an incredible resource of support and just good ol' fun! What's my day job? Marketing & Website Manager for the Santa Fe Opera. I love it, but I also love this side gig!"

Let us put the spotlight on another member of our team, Brittany!
"Hello everyone! I received my BS in Human Biology at the end of 2023 with the goal of getting into a physician assistant program and am currently working as a certified nursing assistant. I have been with Atalaya Search and Rescue a little over 2 years now. My love of the outdoors and desire to help others is what initially got me interested in SAR. My favorite part of SAR is being able to give back to my community while working with and meeting awesome people along the way. In my spare time, I enjoy backpacking, running, snowboarding, fishing, painting, and really anything that gets me outside."
