Yoga is often introduced through asana, the physical postures we practice on the mat. But asana is just one of yoga’s eight limbs.
Together, the 8 limbs offer a framework for how we treat others, care for ourselves, work with the body and breath, quiet the senses, focus the mind, and connect more deeply.
They remind us that yoga does not end when we step off the mat. It is a lifelong practice that can shape how we move through the world and relate to ourselves, others, and all that surrounds us.
You do not have to master the limbs in order or practice them perfectly. They are tools we can return to again and again.
