Gallery Event

OIL PAINTERS OF AMERICA
WESTERN REGIONAL JURIED EXHIBITION

November 1–30

RECEPTION November 1, 5–7 pm

Sorrel Sky Gallery, 125 W Palace, sorrelskygallery.com

Oil Painters of America (OPA) was founded in 1991 to promote traditional, representative oil painting. Painters interested in joining submit images of their work to be considered for membership. The organization puts on several regional and national juried shows each year, often receiving more than 10 times as many submissions as there are spaces in the show. The jury selects paintings based on draftsmanship, composition, and use of color. OPA members, now 3,600 strong, paint still life, portraits, landscape, and more. The Western Regional Exhibition is open to members from the Western United States and Canada and all of Mexico.
