32 years ago today I was published on the front page of the Sunday New York Times Sports section. That launched my writing career! I didn’t follow any rules. I faxed a handwritten piece to the Times on a Tuesday. Ten minutes later received a call from a Senior Editor.
“We love what you wrote! With your permission we’d like to turn it into a Letter to the Editor format but pay you for an OpEd piece.”
Thats a no brainer!
In Sunday I was published.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted!! So much has happened. I am working on my first book that is about how the founding of HOPE-HOWSE transpired. I’ll keep you posted.

Five years ago I brought volunteers via Hope-HOWSE Int’l. into Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque, NM.
We served 100 inmates with Laughter Yoga. Thanks Madan Kataria for coming!!
