Approaching a lender for preapproval for a mortgage might have you wondering which type of mortgage you should be considering. Let’s have a brief look at a few of the more common mortgage types and the differences between them.
Conventional Mortgage
One of the more common types of mortgage loan types available from lenders. A conventional mortgage carries stricter requirements for applicants who have a less than desirable credit rating, or debt ratio.
Fixed-Rate Mortgage
This type of mortgage is a great choice for people who plan on staying in their homes 🏡 for the long run. A set interest and principal amount for the duration of the loan.
Adjustable-Rate Mortgage
The exact opposite of a fixed-rate mortgage. An adjustable amount that fluctuates based on current market rates. Again, this is applied to both the interest and principal amount for the amortization of the loan.
There are many other types of loans 💲 available, as well as many first-time homebuyer programs, and federal funding available to successful applicants. Make sure to explore all the options available to you.

This or That Living room? When we first set eyes on a living room, we look for the familiar pieces that help us identify the space. Most living rooms are where families spend their relaxation time sitting around, sharing stories, engaging in activities, and of course, watching the television.
Our general idea of a living room’s purpose is a family space. But, how do we decide if we like 😍 one living room more than another? The first at-a-glance approval is the style of the room. The color palette and decor pieces the host chose all are factors of that first impression. Since those are relatively interchangeable, the final verdict will come down to the atmosphere and how the space contributes to a happy home.
Style
It is easy to add new design elements to a living room and change its entire makeup. But, we generally require seeing the same types of furniture within a living room, which helps us identify the family room we can expect a couch, chair, or some large seating furniture piece. Most living rooms also consist of television 📺 that contributes to that relaxing and quality family time. The whole package combines to create the atmosphere.
Ambiance
The common furniture elements in a living room may help define it, but the whole perspective produces an atmosphere that brings peace and calmness to our family. It is where you can get creative with added comforts like fluffy throw pillows or plush and soft rugs. These fine details ensure even your toes are happy when they slide across the living room floor. We can’t forget that to utilize the living room space as a family. We should have some functional pieces that help complete the room and the experience.
Storage
Many of us will assume that the living room is generally where the daily television is the regular occurrence, or where we snuggle up together on movie night. Which tends to be only partially true, many people use this space to contribute to other ways of achieving quality time with their family’s. If you look within those bookshelves or hidden in those entertainment units, you may find puzzles 🧩, board games, and gaming systems. Turning the nightly television routine into where ever your imagination takes you!
The living room has all the characteristics we typically associate with a family room, with a few extra added comforts for those longer days. We know that no matter the mood, or the day, there is probably something in the living room that can make us smile 😃! Whether you are gathering for festivities or where we check out our favorite TV shows. The living room is an essential part of what we consider home.

"I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality…. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.”
