Join us in April to hear three individual stories that represent the theme of Ember.

We are excited to welcome Anita Moss, Katy Yanda, and Kristin Swoszowski-Tran to the CreativeMornings podium — each one a resident of NM who faced profound disruption from the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire of 2022.

Each woman will share her perspective on how creativity becomes a steady ember that supports healing, connection, and renewal. Each emotional story, shaped by loss and resilience, offers a hopeful path forward through creativity.

We have the privilege of hosting our Mayor Mayor Michael J. Garcia this month, who, having been born and raised in Santa Fe, truly embodies the CreativeMornings theme of Local.

In this personal and place-rooted talk, Michael will explore what “local” truly means through the lens of his own life and leadership.

He will share how creativity, culture, and community traditions are not extras in civic life but essential tools for building belonging and shaping more inclusive policy. Drawing connections between family, heritage, and public service, Michael invites us to see “local” not just as geography, but as relationships, shared history, and the power of people working together to shape the future of their city.
