We recently caught the Eames exhibition at while visiting Monterrey, Mexico. Visiting this felt like a full-circle moment, especially given the Eames’ deep legacy in L.A. Did you know Charles Eames spent 8+ months traveling through Mexico in the 1933? His journey started in Monterrey, where the local architecture and craftsmanship deeply shaped his design philosophy. 🇲🇽
Seeing their iconic furniture alongside 150+ photographs and films was a beautiful reminder of how Charles and Ray used play, media, and everyday objects to experiment with life. They didn’t just design chairs, they built an entire visual culture.
The exhibition is on display through February 2027, so definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Monterey.
