Meet Ossi! 🐻

The lovable young cub who changes Max's whole world. A little bit about her name: ā€œOssiā€ connects to the Muskogean languages of Seminole, Creek, Chickasaw, and Choctaw. Though not typically defined as a standalone word in indigenous dictionaries, it is linked to linguistic roots associated with meanings such as ā€œlittleā€ or ā€œchildā€ and/or part of a word that conveys ā€œlittle,ā€ ā€œyoung,ā€ ā€œsmall,ā€ or ā€œlittle oneā€. Director Arix Zalace spoke with a Muskogee elder asking if ā€œOssiā€ could be used as a child’s name, similar to how some names have general meanings. Fun Fact, the voice actress who plays ā€œOssiā€ in the film also has the initials ā€œO.C.ā€ which makes it a fun connection for her!
