They got to build and decorate their own rockets, then launch them over 500 feet in the air! With this coming right after the Artemis mission , this will be a lesson our students will remember forever β€οΈπŸš€

Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center marks Earth Day with sea turtle release 04/23/2026

In honor of Earth Day (and our very own birthday πŸŽ‰), our students from The Nature School had the incredible opportunity to attend the sea turtle release hosted by the Gulfarium CARE Center at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.

We watched five rehabilitated sea turtles make their way back into the Gulf! 🐒 🐒 🐒 🐒 🐒

An unforgettable, full-circle moment that reminds us exactly why environmental stewardship matters. Experiences like this bring our mission to life in the most meaningful way for our students.

We’re so proud to see our community, our students, and our educators represented in this special story. A big shoutout to our Director, Janet Stein, and one of our amazing teachers, Erin Sams, for sharing their voices and passion on the news today!
