Game night!

Wow what a finish to the season! After a humiliating defeat on Friday night, our boys bounced back in Saturday. The first game we came out swinging! Huge hits by Caden Bennett, Noah Baker and Noah Price in the first inning, then great aggressive base running and a couple timely hits by Alex Moody and Caden Bennett in the second had us out to a big 7-3 lead. Then the bats went quiet and so did our gloves and we let them come back to tie the game. We made some great defensive plays in the end to preserve the tie. Bo Potter was solid on the mound going all 6 innings and striking out 9!
The second game was a much different game. With Danny Matacchiero on the mound, the defense was stellar. Noah Baker was like a vacuum on 3rd, Noah Price had a great play on second and Caden Bridgeman was a stretching machine playing first that turned a couple close calls into outs. It was a 1-0 game after 2 and then a 9 run 3rd broke it open. George Bailey, Alex, Bo, Noah Baker, and Danny all singled and scored in a huge offensive inning. Danny closed it out with 2 strike outs in the last inning after giving up his only 2 hits and a run to Otter and Lucas. Final score Orioles 10 Sam 1.
Congratulations to our boys who were very resilient this season. We finished the regular season 11-6-1 and in first place!
With the #1 seed, we play the winner of Wes vs Sam who play Monday night. That game will be played on Wednesday.

Big win tonight vs Shalimar! After a shaky 2nd inning, our boys pulled it together. With some great base running and hustle we managed to score enough runs to give Bo a lead that he didn't relinquish. Noah Baker did a nice job behind the plate tonight and we had a couple of nice pick off plays to get huge outs at opportune times. Our boys did a great job on the base paths as we were able to take full advantage of Shalimar mistakes.
