Love ’em or hate ’em, those sargassum w**ds floating are usually a good sign for fishing.

All that w**d creates shade and shelter for baitfish, crabs, shrimp, and other little critters. Before long, bigger fish show up looking for an easy meal.

If you come across a good w**d line, it’s worth down taking a closer look. You never know what’s hanging around underneath. Mahi, tripletail, cobia, king mackerel, and plenty of other species use these floating patches like a buffet line.

The w**ds might be a nuisance at the beach, but offshore they can be one of the best fish finders around.
