There’s something so sacred about black and white photographs for me…

When the color fades & the noise quiets, what’s left is the heart of the moment… the connection, the emotion, the fingerprints of God woven into the ordinary.

I think that’s why I love them so much. Because life is already full of distractions. We rush, we scroll, we chase the next best, beautiful thing. But black and white slows us down. It reminds us that beauty doesn’t need to be loud or perfect — it just needs to be real.

There’s no guessing where to look in a black and white photo. Your eyes go straight to what matters: the embrace, the laugh, or the love that holds it all together.

For me, these images will always be my favorite, because they are freezing time in a way that reveals the beautiful miracle of everyday life. The way light falls on a mother’s face as she holds her baby. The joy in a child’s grin. The comfort of a hand resting on a shoulder.

These images tell stories that color can’t. They whisper truth. They remind us that what’s eternal has never been about a perfectly polished appearance… it’s about love, connection, and the fleeting moments that reflect the goodness of our Creator.

Life feels really full right now—being a mom, homeschooling, running a business, and chasing a toddler around the house. Some days I wonder how it’s all going to get done, but the Lord keeps reminding me that it’s not about my striving, it’s about His sustaining.

Even in the midst of a busy season where marketing & Instagram are not my top priority, He continues to bring clients my way every single day. What a gift to know the pressure isn’t on me to have the “perfect” feed or post on a perfect schedule—He is the one who provides.

So grateful that He cares for both the big and the small things, and that I get to live out this calling while keeping my eyes on Him. 🫶🏼🙌🏻
