To provide humanitarian care to the less privileged and vulnerable individuals of our community.

The bounty that the shoppers at Lucky Supermarket in Montgomery Village have blessed us with is so humbling. This grocery cart full of rice, pinto beans and other needed food items will bless the 100 or so patrons we serve Monday–Friday.

The new roof on Jesus Cares 2020 Community Kitchen was completed Friday. We deeply thank Bill and Cindy Gallaher for making this possible. We’re so grateful to North Coast Roofing for doing an emergency patch on the leaky roof before the fall rains, allowing us to operate until the replacement. (Samuel Ojebola photo)

We want to thank all the shoppers of the Lucky Supermarkets store in Santa Rosa's Montgomery Village for their generosity in providing this much food so quickly for the recently reopened downtown Community Kitchen. We are serving over 500 meals a week now, and more volunteers are stepping up to help. We thank the workers at the store who suggested this box be placed there.

The open house and fundraiser for the Jesus Cares 2020 Community Kitchen in Santa Rosa's Railroad Square on Friday was a success. We raised $8,000 via donations, monthly commitments, and auction and raffle items (special thank-you to that team).

Volunteers are needed for meal preparation and distribution on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (call 707-907-1377 or visit the sign-up form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemgt8KnJaZMzvekDT2iNrqybnfPm4p9RDrUGlDYjEvKtJiTQ/viewform)

And when the dining room reopens Oct. 1, we'll need meal prep, foodservice and clean-up teams Monday through Friday (call 707-771-0523 or visit https://jesuscares2020.org)

And a special thank-you to those who have stepped up to make this resource and reopening effort possible:
