Sonoma Land Trust conserves scenic, natural, agricultural and open land for future generations.

Our first-ever peer-to-peer fundraising campaign has come to a close, and we are so grateful.
To everyone who signed up as an ambassador for nature this spring: THANK YOU! You shared why this land matters to you, invited your communities to invest in it, and showed up for Sonoma County’s lands, waters, and wildlife.
This kind of grassroots support is what makes this work possible. We're honored to do this work alongside you.
The Nuns Fire burned 56,566 acres in 2017 and made one thing clear: protecting land from development was no longer enough.
So we convened regional partners for the first time to figure out what to do, together. What emerged became the Sonoma Valley Wildlands Collaborative, a first-of-its-kind public-private partnership with All Hands Ecology, California State Parks, Sonoma County Regional Parks, Ag + Open Space, and Mitsui Ranch Preserve to manage wildfire resilience across 20,000 acres of shared wildlands.
At the same time, our wildlife camera study throughout the valley was revealing dozens of species moving through Highway 12 underpasses. The valley was a living wildlife corridor. Today, 30-plus cameras are deployed along Highway 12, and our study, conducted with our partners, will inform planning around wildlife movement solutions throughout the Sonoma County Wildlife Corridor.
