Amazing!

What a project this was! This beam was from the Sprekles Sugar Factory in the Central Valley. My son picked it up and had a vision of it becoming a mantle. We planed the heck out of it and cut it down to size. We sanded it smooth and I epoxied in the cracks. I created a custom jig to cut out the brick groove to make sure the mantle sat snuggly on the brick and after 2 days of routering… I got it just right. After we test fit it, my son and his girlfriend chose the stain they wanted and I stained and finished it. The last picture is the finished product. A fun project!

Now back to hand shaping mirrors. I knocked out a few cherry ones recently. My stock was hit hard during the holidays. Inflation is bearing down on us all, I’m sorry to raise prices - I just have to. Thanks for your understanding.
